20th Century Mantel Clock with Singing Bird Automaton

Made circa 1910 in Switzerland, 11x5.5x15cm. Silver-gilt case. Bezel in blue guilloché enamel. Gilt dial with Breguet numerals and subsidiary dial for the alarm at 6 o'clock. The top of the rectangular base is also decorated with blue guilloché enamel, and the oval lid, surrounded by a painted wreath of flowers in the center, depicts the Temple of Love in the Palace of Versailles. The remaining four sides of the base depict views of Lake Geneva and the Swiss mountains, with two fluted Doric columns on both sides connecting to the clock body. The base of the case enclosing a singing bird mechanism, which is linked to an alarm mechanism and activated by a lever located in the upper right corner of the base after the alarm function has been completed.
After the alarm prompt, the bird mechanism showcases its wings fluttering, providing a delightful visual and auditory experience for the viewers.
