Ref. 3646 Type E

Produced circa 1944, 47mm diameter, stainless steel case, Military Diver's Wristwatch. unsigned Cal.618 manual-winding movement made by Rolex. Reference 3646 was made by Rolex for Panerai in production from 1938 until the 1950s, supplied to the Italian Royal Navy and German Navy, and produced in several versions classified Type A to Type G, only 211 pieces are known for now. Ref. 3646 Type E and G were delivered with anonymous 618 Type 1 mod. movements without Rolex SA hallmark. Only “17 Rubis, Fab. Suisse” was engraved on the train bridge of the movement, and six digits case number was embossed on the inside of the caseback.
