"Rotary" Automatic Wristwatch (Purple)

Made in 2020 in China, 42mm, stainless steel case, with Cal. 2824-2 self-winding movement.

“ROTARY” Series is a tribute to the legendary Japanese car manufacturer Mazda. The large rotor with the triangular pointers rotating with a fixed but non-uniformed track at the bottom alongside with the applied indexes on the left-hand side of the dial represents the HOURS, whereas the smaller triangular 3-pointer rotor on top alongside with indexes on the right-hand side of the dial represents the MINUTES.

About Behrens

Founded in 2012, Berens is an independent watchmaking brand formed by a group of watch enthusiasts from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Germany, who were inspired by the design concept of "Peter Berens" and named after it. 

In 2020, they launched the "Rotary" and "Apolar" watches, which were successfully selected for the 20th Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix and were the only Chinese watch brand to be selected that year.

In 2022, the cooperation between Behrens and CHINAROCKET, a commercial space rocket design corporation to design and build Behrens 1st space wristwatch which was successfully sent to space on 9th December 2022 (14:35).
