A chronograph movement with column wheel. The column is an important element of chronograph mechanism which gives the various parts such as operating-lever hook, hammer, coupling lever and brake their appropriate positions. Compared to the traditional cam-actuated mechanism (commonly featuring a horizontal clutch, while the column wheel variety a vertical clutch), it’s more complicated and can avoid slacks that may happen in cam-actuated chronographs.
