Brand History

Jaquet Droz is named after Pierre Jaquet-Droz (1721-1790), a famous and brilliant Neuchâtel watchmaker. He and his son Henry Louis and their collaborator Jean Frédéric Leschot made three masterpieces: The Writer, The Draughtsman and The Musician, which are so famous automata in the horological history, and they also made and presented hundreds of fine timepieces that decorated with enamel and pearl or gemstones, and superb automata to Imperial Palace of Beijing during that time. Today's models embody both classic style, restraint and value. They are noted for their artful characteristics and "spangled" dials, in which the traditional enamel method "Grand Feu Noir Absolu" is used.
