Signed Jaquet-Droz, made for the Chinese market, circa 1790. 18K gold and enamel amphora shaped case with pearl-set. The spring-loaded back with finely painted on enamel scene depicts a young couple under a tree outside the walls of the castle. Push-button at the top for opening the back cover.
