Maniglier Yellow Gold and Enamel Pocket Watch with Chain

Made circa 1835, signed Maniglier on the movement. 40mm, yellow gold openface case. A pink, light green, and transparent red enamels background, and painted with gold lines and various colored floral motifs. Engine-turned dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and small seconds at 6 o'clock. Accompanied gold chain and pendant are both enameled, accessorized with winding and timing key.
According to the Watchmakers' Directory, this pocket watch is believed to be the work of John Maniglier, a London, England, watchmaker whose workshop was located in Oxford Street, circa 1832-1844.
