Made circa mid 19th century. Gilt brass and decorated with painted wood panel. Ormolu and chiselled gilded bonze, "Chinoiseries" small mantel clock, in the shape of a neo-classical architecture surmounted by a Chinese character smoking his pipe, with hour and half-hour striking on a bell. Silver color dial with Chinese characters. This kind of clock is commonly designed in a set and placed on the mantel.
